Village of Estero is Born

March 17th 2015 was a monumental day for Southwest Florida. No, not just because of St. Patrick’s Day, it marked the first Village of Estero Council Meeting and swearing in! The Village of Estero became Southwest Florida’s ninth municipality. Estero Country club would also like to extend a special congratulations to Nick Batos, the new (and first!) Estero Mayor! “To be selected by my peers, to be the mayor it was quite humbling.” Said newly elected Mayor Batos.

“When you get a community that gets behind something like this and is able to have such a strong support for it, you know you’re doing the right thing to get it that way. We’re happy that we’re here although it’s just the beginning. Now the hard work starts.” Mayor Nick Batos told the Naples Daily News.

Estero is one of the fastest growing areas in Southwest Florida, made even more unique by how young it is. In fact, 65% of all Estero housing units are less than 13 years old and about 80 % of all Estero commercial properties are under 10 years of age, according to the feasibility study. This is a great opportunity for anyone from young families to retirees. With Florida Gulf Coast University just around the corner, people from all walks of life are flocking to Estero for the weather, opportunity, and lifestyle this great city has.

Estero Country Club is so excited and proud to be a part of this rising area. We look forward to seeing what the future has in store for us. There’s something special about Estero; once you’re here, you’re home. Estero residents are finding the lifestyle they’ve always wanted, surrounded by good friends, fun, and of course, the sun! It’s no wonder that more and more people are coming here with the intent of making Estero their home for life.
